GOOD FOR: Farm conditions that require varying tillage operations in the same season, disk angle adjustment from 0 (true vertical) to 15 degrees maximizes flexibility. Will do everything that single purpose vertical tillage machines can do.
With a more aggressive disk angle, it will turn the soil "black" but with controlled depth and minimal horizontal layering. Good for incorporating residue thoroughly for improved decomposition, nitrogen benefit and a great seed bed.
With a more aggressive disk angle, it will provide one pass weed suppression with small weeds and moderate populations.
Requires about 8hp per foot for shallow hayfield renovation and more than 10hp in other conditions.
NOT GOOD FOR: Working as fast as a single purpose high speed tillage machine, 7-8mph vs 10mph. Breaking hay fields or sod. Not good for high speeds, best at slower speeds.
